MEASUREMENT RESULTS IN COMPLIANCE WITH REGULATIONS
Ensuring the accuracy and quality of documentation is an elementary success factor for NAVA. In Germany, the accuracy requirements for the documentation of electricity, gas and water networks are defined by the regulations (VDE-AR-N-4201 and DVGW GW 120). With this set of rules for network documentation in utility companies updated in December 2021, NAVA can now be used as a photogrammetric method – in addition to the measurement methods covered in DVGW 128 (M) and FNN Note S 128 (both as of 07/2011). The technical specialist makes the specifications for this.

NAVA TEST FIELD
To be able to test the app again and again on the latest smartphone models, we use our own flexible test track with a real pipe network. This simulates a house connection trench, which is used to collect comparative data and to ensure the precision of the measurements. With the test field, we are able to thoroughly check the devices used and thus ensure the accuracy of the technology.
CHECKED SMARTPHONES ARE ON OUR HARDWARE WHITELIST
On our test field, a trained geomatics technician checks current smartphone models (iOS/Android systems) for accuracy and function.
In particular, the iPhone Pro editions with their Lidar sensor and the Google Pixel 5, 6 Pro and 7 Pro have a camera optimised for augmented reality.
Can’t find your desired model on the whitelist? We can also test your smartphone model for compatibility with NAVA. Please contact us!
ACCURACY IS ALSO A MATTER OF THE USER
TEST MODE AND QUALITY INDICATOR
The integrated quality indicator (QI) gives the user direct feedback on the quality of the measured points.
In addition, NAVA switches to the so-called test mode after each measurement. This is used to check the set points and offers the possibility of making corrections.
ASSISTANCE BY ASSISTANTS
The NAVA assistant does not leave the user alone but provides continuous assistance during the measurement process to ensure the best measurement results.
All users also receive training videos, a guide to measurement and, at the beginning, detailed training with plenty of tips for handling.
Individual training videos, adapted to your company, are available directly in the APP.
IN THE REQUIRED LOCATION QUALITYt
Using augmented reality, you can easily and intuitively check the quality of your survey directly on site.
You record the data with NAVA and check it where it is created. No more queries about missing sketches and illegible dimensions.
For better traceability, a photo is automatically transmitted to you for each component and each recorded point.
NAVA achieves precision in accordance with the regulations and delivers measurement results in the required position quality.
